As the summer holidays are well underway in China, many night schools have become popular among young people. A community night school in Taiyuan, the capital of north China's Shanxi Province, is offering self-defense classes for women. Community officials say since April, night schools have been offering a variety of free classes weekly. There are also classes for coffee tasting, wearing makeup, movie appreciation, music and psychology.
